I enjoy every trip I take. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is very nice but can be slightly overpriced. Overall very good! ; )

Went to see 50 shades freed tonight! Great film, very comfortable and Kyle that served me gave me top class service! Thanks! A perfect experience all round!

Cameo Cinema

38 Home St, Edinburgh EH3 9LZ, UK – 0871 902 5723

Easily my favourite cinema in Edinburgh. Fairly central and has a great selection films, ranging from current blockbusters to vintage and cult favourites. Staff are friendly and helpful and everything is reasonably priced as far as cinemas are concerned. The seats also recline which is never a bad thing. I don't think I would choose any other cinema before the cameo and I suggest that you do the same!

Great historical cinema in Tollcross. Nice bar with a small menu of good food. Beers and coffee are decent. Films consist of mainstream new releases, old classic revivals and live streaming from various art houses around the world. Screen and audio quality are excellent. Staff are excellent and friendly. Many different film clubs depending upon your demographic. A great place to spend time.

Theatres for Edinburgh

Festival Theatre Edinburgh

13-29 Nicolson St, Edinburgh EH8 9FT, UK – 0131 529 6000

Went to see Miss Saigon yesterday and was brilliant! The best show I’ve ever seen with such a big production and talented cast. Traveled with my grandma who is in a wheelchair and the theatre staff were so great helping us to our seats. Theatre is also beautiful. Would recommend this theatre and show to anyone.

The place is big , beautiful old theater. Nice and friendly personnel, very beautiful place. The seats are very old, old style theater. You'll find all the facilities inside, including the bar to eat or drink something. We found a good price as well for the show, buying the group on coupon, so it was also cheap. There are many shows of movies, very good and rich timetable.

King's Theatre

2 Leven St, Edinburgh EH3 9LQ, UK – 0131 529 6000

A magnificent building to see a performance. We were in the upper circle but the view was fantastic. The seat was comfortable with adequate legroom. There are bar areas at each level that sell a range of soft and alcoholic drinks, as you might expect, they are expensive £15 for two glasses of wine and a fresh orange juice. There are no lifts in the building, so if you are someone who requires this form of access, then you need to stay away from the cheap seats :-) The staff were helpful and friendly. All in all a great venue (Cinderella was top notch too).

This is a good weekend theatre. The interior is almost vintage with its red and gold colouring which gives the place a lovely touch. We sat on the top level so our view was slightly restricted. I imagine if there were small children in our seats they would struggle to see.

Traverse Theatre

10 Cambridge St, Edinburgh EH1 2ED, UK – 0131 228 1404

Easy going downstairs bar with decent beer selection. Not too crowded nor too noisy when we were there. Notable, unusually inclusive toilet signage. Way to go, Scotland/Traverse! 👍

Great venue. I felt a bit daunted going on my own but if you ask for help they are ready and willing. I went to see Eve and enjoyed it. I would advise if you suffer from claustrophobia to check out whare the event is being performed, as I was taken downstairs and it was quite a walk, along corridors with no windows, so I did give that some consideration that some people may find this difficult. The staff were very helpful. I was in the venue for the correct time but I had quite a wait standing by the lift once asked to, then the walk.I have poor mobility, so I did feel the wait was a bit too long but otherwise everything was fine for me and I look fallward to my next visit.
